Citizen Bare

Rocking at Higher Ground

Greetings

In the words of Citizen Bare’s bass player Jesse Cowan, “Happy Last Year!” Seriously though, Happy 2012 from all of us at Citizen Bare. We had our first gig of the year on January 5th at the Monkey HouseMilton Busker opened for us and really rocked the house. Make sure to get out to see him if you come across his name on a bill somewhere. Unfortunately for Citizen Bare, we were without Mr. John Gratton.  His contributions were missed sorely by everyone.  Thanks so much to Tyson Valyou for filing in on drums for us.  We look forward to playing one more show with him in February. That brings us to our upcoming shows.

Upcoming Shows

February 3rd @The Monkey House with This Way and Kingsley Flood.  This Way is a great band from Portand, Maine that happens to be Andrew James’ brother and sister-in-law’s band. There aren’t too many times you can come out to see four Pattersons share the stage.  We are also very excited to play with Kingsley Flood.  They won New Artist of the Year honors at the 2010 Boston Music Awards.  Its going to be a fun night with some fantastic music! Thanks to Billy Lynch for setting the show up.

February 24th @The Radiobean. This is a great local venue and should be a fantastic evening!

More shows in the works stay tuned!

Merchandise

We have merchandise!   T-shirts for both men and women, our new LP cd and stickers are available.  We’ll have new tracks and videos up on YouTube soon.  Contact citizenbare@gmail.com for all your merch needs or come see us at our next show.  The Carnival LP is also available now on ITunesAmazon and CDBaby.

See you in February!

NAMI Walks Vermont 2011 & Other News

September 16th, 2011

We wanted to tell our readers and fans that Citizen Bare is proudly taking part in the NAMIWalks Vermont 2011 fundraiser that supports NAMI Vermont in providing programs for support, education, and advocacy for families and individuals living with mental illness.  When you consider that 1 in 4 adults (57.7 million Americans) experience a mental health disorder in any given year, I think it highlights the need for such programs.

Please come down to the Burlington Waterfront in Burlington, VT on Saturday, September 24, 2011 starting @ 9:30am to register and/or walk for the 5k event starting @ 10:30am. Citizen Bare will play some music during the registration & kickoff…as well as when people return from the walk. Hopefully you can help NAMI meet their fundraising goals too. To join a walking team, donate, or sponsor, go to http://www.nami.org/namiwalks/vt

In other Citizen Bare news…

We are psyched to be putting on a big show @ Higher Ground with The Aerolites in December. We will nail down the details and add another post about that pretty soon.

Also…

We are finally working on creating an album! What do you think of that? I know that we are thrilled for the undertaking. Anybody that is interested in investing into this Citizen Bare project is welcome. ;-)   And of course we appreciate your support. :-)

Finally…in an anticlimatic way…

Its that time of year again where CB’s website and overall graphical content will be getting an update and some revamping. So please, keep an eye on the website, facebook, and around the town for your Citizen Bare.

~ CB

@ The UVM Davis Center – THIS Weekend

April 5th, 2011

Saturday night, Citizen Bare takes the stage at the Jamm’n UVM Feel Good event at 7:30pm.  The event starts at 6:30pm and includes a sandwich.  And this is not just any sandwich, but a sandwich of melted goodness and a variety of ingredients.  Andrew and John had a sandwich at the last Jamm’n event and their sensation of hunger was satisfied.  Which is precisely what the event is about; doing our part to end world hunger.  Come on out and take part.

Dinner and Citizen Bare anybody?
